We want this site usable by everyone who needs window work, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard, a magnifier, or a phone in bright sun. We aim at the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
What the site does

Works without JavaScript. Every page renders, navigation works, and the estimate form posts normally and lands on a real confirmation page with scripts blocked. The phone number stays a working call link throughout.
One exception, and it is not ours: our host rewrites email addresses into a script-decoded form before the page is served, so with scripts blocked the email link reads
[email protected]instead of the address. Call, or use the estimate form — both work without scripts. We are switching that rewriting off. -
Keyboard reachable. Every control can be reached and operated by keyboard, with a visible focus outline, and a skip link to the main content.

Respects reduced motion. With “reduce motion” set in your system preferences, animation durations drop to zero and content appears immediately rather than sliding in.

Real text, not pictures of text. Type scales with your browser’s font size and the layout reflows down to a 320px viewport without horizontal scrolling.

Described images. Job photographs carry alternative text describing the work shown. Decorative images are marked so a screen reader skips them.

Described diagrams. The installation diagrams carry text descriptions of what they show, and never use color as the only way of telling two things apart.
Where it is honestly still short
- The job photographs are phone photographs. Some are lower contrast or softer than we would like. We describe them in text; we cannot make them sharper without reshooting.
- The cost calculator needs JavaScript. Without it, the tool cannot run. The page still explains the trade-offs in text, and the phone number works — call and Mark will walk you through the same questions.
- We have not commissioned a formal third-party audit. Testing so far has been our own, against automated checks and keyboard use. We would rather say that than imply a certification we do not have.
